CHEM 240 - Biochemistry of the Human Body

4 Credits
Descriptive approach to the chemistry of the human body. Study of the structures and properties of the major classes of biomolecules, enzyme catalysis, metabolism and chemical aspects of genetics. Three hours lecture, three hours laboratory per week. Laboratory fee: $75. (LAS) (SI)
Prerequisite(s): C or better in CHEM 170 - Principles of Inorganic and Organic Chemistry , CHEM 171 - Introduction to Organic Chemistry  or CHEM 210 - Organic Chemistry II  and BIOL 110 - General Biology  or BIOL 114 - Introduction to Cellular and Molecular Biology
