NURS 521 - Advanced Clinical Practicum (PMHNP track)

3 Credits
This course provides students the opportunity to examine the role and functions of the advanced practice nurse in delivery of psychiatric care to individuals across the lifespan within the context of the individual, family, culture and community. Synthesis of previous learning is emphasized in the promotion of health and wellness and in the assessment, diagnosis and management of mental health problems in a variety of clinical settings.  A clinical practicum with mental health care providers is required. Clinical: 180 hours.
