PUBH 523 - Program Planning and Evaluation


3 Credits
Careful planning and evaluation of public health programs are essential competencies for public health professionals. Through this course students will gain a basic understanding of how to design and implement public health programs and evaluate their effectiveness. Students will complete the course with the skills necessary to develop both a program and an evaluation plan. Methods for the identification of population-based needs for public health intervention, development of programs to meet those needs, and evaluation of the effectiveness of these public health interventions will be presented.
