CHEM 426 - Biochemistry I
4 Credits
Introduction to metabolism, enzyme kinetics and signal transduction. Glucose metabolism will be covered in detail. The metabolism of lipids and amino acids will be introduced. Emphasis will be on enzymatic mechanisms and regulation. Enzyme kinetics will be introduced. Includes laboratory work.
Prerequisite(s): CHEM 210 - Organic Chemistry II completed with a C- or better and permission of instructor
Corequisite(s): CHEM 426L Biochemistry I Lab
