PHYA 609 - SCPE Elective 5 Credits Five-week supervised clinical practice experience that will provide clinical experience in a specialty of medicine determined by the student. The purpose of this rotation is to allow students to explore more completely an area of interest in clinical medicine or surgery. Students will engage in all aspects of patient care from history and physical exam to development and implementation of treatment plans and patient follow-up. The last 2 days of the course will involve call-back days where students will return to campus for assessment and delivery of didactic content. The student will be required to travel to the clinic, hospital and campus during his/her rotation time. Prerequisite(s): Successful completion of all components of the didactic curriculum and achievement of PA Program progression standards
