PUBH 530 - Public Health and Health Disparities 3 Credits Addressing and eliminating health disparities is a central focus of public health. This course focuses on describing problems and policy issues by examining how social forces (e.g., economic and cultural) contributes to differences in disability, morbidity, and mortality in racial and ethnic minorities as well as other underserved populations. Hence, social determinants of population health will be used to explain and address health disparities.
