NURS 703 - Quantitative Methods and Biostatistics


3 Credits
The foundation of this course is the examination of basic principles of nursing research that relate to quantitative analysis and interpretation of data.  The course includes discussion of basic statistical procedures and selected advanced statistical tests.  Students learn to use the computer to handle statistical data.  Topics covered include quantitative design, and statistical methods including correlation, prediction and regression, hypotheses testing, t-tests, ANOVA and ANCOVA.  Nursing students will provide most of the examples that help students to apply the concepts.
