EDUC 528 - Instruction and Curriculum for Secondary Teaching


3 Credits
As the initial course for secondary program, candidates are introduced to major education theorists, research and current thinking about practice. The course explores the interactive functions of teaching-learning as well as the planning, implementing, and evaluating of instruction and curriculum at the secondary level. An introduction to technology, the concept of differentiated instruction, accommodations for special education students, the role of multiple intelligences and the diverse student population of public education, and an overview of curricula related to substance abuse are examined. Field study is required.
