4+2 Biology B.S. to Master of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics

Students who are admitted to the 4+2 Master of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics (M.S.P.O) program enter the University as first-year students and successful candidates earn a bachelor’s degree in Biology   and master of science in Prosthetics and Orthotics degree in a total of six years.

The first four years of the program are devoted to undergraduate coursework. The student will take courses in the major, prerequisite coursework for the M.S.P.O. program, and general education courses and will earn a bachelor’s degree in Biology. Upon completion of their B.S. in Biology, students will apply to the University of Hartford, where there is one admissions vacancy in the master’s program for a qualified USJ student.

Requirements


  • All requirements of Biology, B.S.  degree
  • Complete 68 credits of course prerequisites for the M.S.P.O. included in the B.S. degree
  • All prerequisite courses completed with an overall GPA of 3.2, and no grade lower than a C
  • All science courses noted with an asterisk (*) must be completed with a science GPA of 3.2 and no grade lower than a C
