Public health is the art and science of protecting and enhancing the health of human populations and communities. Within the field of public heath the Master of Public Health (M.P.H) is the primary professional degree. The M.P.H will prepare students to identify health needs of communities, promote health, and reduce health disparities.

Graduates with an M.P.H are employed by local and state health departments, federal agencies such as the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, non-profit organizations, and health care and academic organizations.

The M.P.H at USJ is a fully online, part time format requiring 42 credits. Students will gain a foundation in the five core disciplines in public health: Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Social and Behavioral Health, Public Health Policy and Management, and Environmental Health.
