ECON 220 - Labor History in America 3 Credits This course provides a historical overview of the American labor movement. Topics include: labor in colonial and revolutionary America, the first trade unions, Locofocoism and reform, the Knights of Labor, the Haymarket Affair, the AFL, the Wobblies, radicalism and reaction, the Great Depression, the New Deal, the CIO, the air traffic controllers strike, and the modern erosion of the labor movement and of labor rights.
