SPAN 360 - Cultural Perspectives of Hispanic Peoples


3 Credits
Identification of key historical, geographical, cultural and political issues to understand the contribution of Hispanic peoples to the U.S. global diversity map as portrayed in poetry, prose and other literary works, as well as art and other media. Examples include testimonials by Latino/a authors; the frescoes by José Clemente Orozco in Pomona College and Dartmouth College; the Spanish poets of the Generation of 1927 in the United States (Lorca, Cernuda, Salinas; or plays by Latino/a authors represented at the Repertorio Español in New York or other venues).
