EDUC 521 - Action Research in Literacy 3 Credits A seminar course focusing on perspectives of contemporary practices, research and theory in cultural-socio-psycholinguistic literacy that inform teaching and learning. Students creatively evaluate the emerging needs of current and future learners affected by new curriculum requirements and school reforms. Using a teacher-researcher model, students examine literacy in their community/school/classroom to conceive, design, field test, analyze, write up and implement an original research project to make a difference. This is the final requirement in the reading and language master’s concentration. Prerequisite(s):
