SPEC 512 - Assessment: Pre-K to Grade 3

Identification and analysis of the purposes of assessment. Practical experience in selecting, evaluating, administering and interpreting a variety of assessment devices. Effective communication and use of findings in planning individualized programs for children who have special needs, are at risk or are developing typically. Laboratory fee and field study required.
Prerequisite(s): Two of the following: ECSE 520 - Language Development and Emergent Literacy, ECSE 510 - Growth and Development in Early Childhood or SPEC 511 - Language Development and Emergent Literacy, or permission of the instructor
