EDUC 240 - Textiles and Clothing 3 Credits This course prepares candidates to use a variety of tools, equipment and supplies for apparel and textiles construction. Students demonstrate basic skills in producing apparel and assess effects of textile characteristics on design, construction, care, use and maintenance of products. Students also synthesize the process of creating fabrics from fibers, connect the basic concepts of the legal and environmental concerns related to textiles and the apparel industry, analyze career paths within the industries and review instructional materials on textile and apparel concepts.
