BIOL 550 - Human Physiology 3 Credits This course is designed to study the function of the body from subcellular processes to those of the whole organism, as this is essential for any health professional. Major organ systems of human body and the mechanisms that control and regulate human behavior will be covered in order to provide a broad appreciation for the physiological functions. This course will integrate the concepts that will help to build necessary foundations to understand some abnormalities and pathophysiological mechanisms related to genetic abnormalities, immunologic alterations, cancer and other common diseases. Case-based activities and problem solving will be included to help to understand the importance of the whole-body physiology.
Prerequisite(s): UG General Biology or Anatomy & Physiology Course
