EDUC 565 - Multiple Intelligence Theory and Arts 3 Credits Introduces the student to Multiple Intelligences Theory and its connections to current applications of brain research in education. Participants will apply these theories in their classrooms and reflect on student engagement and learning when these strategies are employed. Participants will be required to design Multiple Intelligences-based units and lessons using backward design, which incorporate Connecticut Common Core learning standards and arts standards through performance-based assessments. An action research project and field experience is required.
