COMP 250 - Introduction to Data Mining 3 Credits In this course, students will be educated about data preparation, data mining, and knowledge discovery. Students will be introduced to the CRISP-DM conceptual model and the basic computational data mining algorithms, and will be exposed to some data mining tools to develop hands on data mining experience. In addition, the value and ethical issues of data mining in the 21st century will be discussed. Prerequisite(s): MATH 110 - Elementary Statistics Other: This is a required course for the Computer and Data Science program.
