PUBH 513 - Biostatistics 3 Credits This course introduces students to basic statistical concepts and techniques in public health and biomedical research. It emphasizes the basic theories of research and design, data analysis, drawing statistical inferences, and ensuring that findings and practices are supported by valid and reliable evidence. Central to the course is helping students to learn how to generate descriptive and inferential statistics and to be able to apply them to public health and biomedical practices. Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), which is used for data management and analysis, will be introduced in this course.
