IABS 548 - Practicum in Applied Behavior Analysis; Second Year I 3 Credits This course provides individual and group supervision of students in their second year of the graduate program in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) who work at the Gengras Center. Students are required to demonstrate proficiency in ABA skills necessary to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), to prepare for board examination and employment, and to successfully navigate and transition to post-graduate life. As a practicum student, you will gain experience defining target behaviors; collecting and interpreting behavioral assessment data; designing and evaluating behavioral interventions; ensuring treatment integrity; delivering staff training; and communicating about ABA to caregivers and other professionals. Supervision will be provided by the on-site Gengras BCBA supervisor who will also serve as the instructor of the course. The student and supervisor will coordinate clinical experiences to align with the most current Task List requirements set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)®
