PHRM 705 - Pharmaceutics and Calculations II 4 Credits This course provides a basic understanding of the physicochemical and biological properties of pharmaceutical products and application of this knowledge to dosage form design, formulation, performance, and drug delivery systems. It also focuses on the theory, technology, formulation, evaluation and dispensing of solid, transdermal, parenteral, ophthalmic, topical and other dosage forms. This course also covers aspects of pharmaceutical calculations including: isotonic solutions, electrolyte solutions, intravenous admixtures and rates of flow, calculations related to compounding, and patient’s parameters such as creatinine clearance.
