Introduction to metabolism, enzyme kinetics and signal transduction. Glucose metabolism will be covered in detail. The metabolism of lipids and amino acids will be introduced. Emphasis will be on enzymatic mechanisms and regulation. Enzyme kinetics will be introduced.
Prerequisite(s): CHEM 200 - Organic Chemistry I completed with a C- or better
