PHCY 934 - Advanced Pharmacy Practice in Primary Care 6 Credits This course introduces pharmacy students to interdisciplinary interactions in the physician office practice setting, including physicians, prescribers, nurses, administrative staff and patients. Students develop an understanding of the special needs of this patient population and a holistic approach to their care, as well as develop an understanding of clinical and regulatory issues in physician office practice. This course also provides an opportunity for improving both oral and written communication skills and to apply knowledge gained in the didactic educational component of the curriculum. Elective course. Prerequisite(s): Pharmacy courses are open only to Pharmacy students.
