3 Credits An overview of the theoretical approaches, research methods and subject matter of cross-cultural psychology. The assumptions of mainstream Western psychological researchers are critiqued from the standpoint of studies conducted in non-European and American contexts. Students will learn to distinguish those traits that are universal across all cultures from those that are culture-specific.
