ECSE 387 - Pre-Kindergarten/Kindergarten Curriculum
3 Credits
This course focuses on planning and implementing appropriate learning experiences for children age three through kindergarten including those with special educational needs. A variety of instructional methods are explored which facilitate physical and social development, social studies, creativity, and mathematical, scientific, and higher order thinking skills. The emphasis is on the teacher’s role in facilitating learning objectives through play in center-based classrooms. Field work is required in this course.
