CHEM 542 - Polymer Chemistry

Students will be introduced to the concepts, nomenclature and syntheses of common polymers. The course will focus on polymerization mechanisms and processes, polymer structures, molar mass distributions and the morphology of polymer compositions. Likewise, the characterization, physical properties and applications of commercially important synthetic polymers will also be reviewed.
