PHRM 730 - Patient Care Pharmacy Practice 1

This course is the first of a three course series addressing foundational components of patient Care Pharmacy Practice. A systematic approach to the Pharmacists’ Patient Care Process, patient assessment, triage care, patient-centered communication, development of appropriate treatment recommendations, and documentation of care is introduced. This course addresses the principles and therapeutic application of common prescription, over-the-counter, herbal, and dietary products encountered in pharmacy practice, and emphasizes the practice of comprehensive patient education.
