POLS 354 - History of Political Thought
3 Credits
Key canonical political theory texts are examined in detail with major attention given to the historical circumstances in which they were written and to the contemporary political relevance to each work. Original works of several of the following philosophers will be considered in detail: Thucydides, Plato, Machiavelli, Hobbes, Locke, Rousseau, and Marx. (LAS) (Social Science)
