COMP 225 - Networking Fundamentals 3 Credits This course serves as an introductory course in networking. It will cover the elements of Internetworking most commonly used today in pursuit of successful projects for data analytics / data mining / data science. Students will explore core network technologies and protocols, Internet foundations, the mechanics of network transmissions, modularity in network protocol interactions, network application design principles, and secure transmissions over the network. Students will have hands-on opportunities to design and test networks using Cisco Packet Tracer, Wireshark and possibly Kali Linux. (CORE: LAS)
