PSYC 234 - Inclusivity in Sports 3 Credits This course examines diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in the context of sports. It includes discussions of prejudice, discrimination, and stigma and how those might be experienced by athletes or employees of athletics organizations on the basis of race, gender, age, disability status, body shape, religion, social class, and sexual orientation. Students will consider how to make the experience and industry of sport more inclusive for people from underrepresented and marginalized groups. (LAS) Prerequisite(s): PSYC 100 - Introductory Psychology Other: This course is required for the completion of the Sports Psychology concentration in either Psychology or Exercise Science. It may also be used as an elective.
