INFT 345 - Database Design and Development 3 Credits Hands-on introduction to the theories, concepts, and design of the databases that manage information in today’s organizations. Methods of data normalization, how to develop entity relationships, diagrams to design database solutions to business requirements, and how to develop tables, queries, forms, reports, macros, and VBA commands to create full-function user interfaces. Using Microsoft Access, students explore the advanced programming and processing capabilities of end-user database software. Each student develops a database through an extensive and comprehensive semester project. Cross listed with Prerequisite(s): or permission of instructor.
