First Professional (P1) Year: 65 Credits


In the first year, called P1, students are introduced to a mix of classroom work and professional pharmacy experience. In the classroom, students move as a group, or cohort, through a modified block system. They concentrate on one subject area at a time.

The professional pharmacy experiences component, called Experiential Education,is divided into two main phases. The Introductory phase, in the first two years, allows students to apply classroom knowledge in a practice environment.

Required Courses: 65 Credits


Second Professional (P2) Year: 57 Credits


The second professional year, P2, continues with a mixture of classroom and professional experience.

Effective July 2017:

PHCY 805 is replaced by PHCY 806 and PHCY 804

PHCY 831 is replaced by PHCY 845 and PHCY 846

PHCY 841 is replaced by PHCY 844 and PHCY 847

Required credits remain the same.                               

Third Professional (P3) Year: 38 Credits


The Advanced Phase of pharmacy experience is made up of six experiences throughout the P3 year, four of which are required subjects and two of which are electives. A seventh experience is optional.
 

Elective Courses: 12 Credits


Can also repeat PHCY 901-904 for credit. Any valid PHCY 900 course may be counted toward the Advanced Practice Experience requirement. Students may also have an additional 900-series course as a seventh APE.

Total for the Program: 160 Credits
