3+2 Biology B.S. and Bioengineering B.S.

Students in this program receive two bachelor of science degrees in five years. At USJ, they earn a B.S. in Biology in three years. The next fall, those admitted work on a two-year B.S. in Bioengineering at Fairfield University’s School of Engineering.
Prerequisite courses can be taken at USJ or at schools in the Hartford Consortium. The exchange program is limited to undergraduates in the Women’s College.

Requirements
- All requirements of the Biology, B.S. with a minimum overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 in the Biology program
- Complete 71 credits of course prerequisites for the Bioengineering program at Fairfield University with a grade of C or better
- Students must be recommended by the USJ provost or academic dean
- Apply to the Fairfield program by May 1 of the final semester of the USJ Biology program
