The Applied Behavior Analysis graduate certificate is a specialized credential for professionals who already have a Master’s degree. The sequence consists of nine courses over two academic years that have been verified by the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) to meet the coursework requirements needed to sit for the 5th Edition of the BACB® exam.

Year I

IABS 501 - Foundations of Behavior Analysis 3 Credits
IABS 511 - Research Methods in the Behavioral Sciences 3 Credits
Spring
IABS 504 - Ethical and Professional Issues 3 Credits
IABS 509 - Experimental Analysis of Behavior 3 Credits
IABS 564 - Educational Interventions 3 Credits
Students will be required to take a Practice Exam in May at the end of their first year to prepare for the Behavior Analyst Certification Board® (BACB®) Examination.

IABS 502 - Behavioral Assessment 3 Credits
IABS 510 - Organizational Behavior Management and Consultation 3 Credits
Spring
IABS 503 - Behavioral Interventions 3 Credits
IABS 505 - Advanced Topics in Behavior Analysis 3 Credits

Official transcripts from all accredited college or university institution(s) attended with minimum 3.0 GPA
Two letters of recommendation from current professional references
Personal Entrance Essay:
- Part 1: Please explain why you have chosen to enter the field of behavior analysis (300 word minimum)
- Part 2: Identify the elements that you feel are essential to becoming an effective, well-rounded behavior analyst (300 word minimum)
