The M.A. in Education, Arts Integration Concentration is a 30-credit hybrid program that focuses on integrating the arts into traditional and inclusive classrooms across grades and content areas. Hybrid courses include at least 50% of classes in synchronous, real-time sessions on-line.The cohort format of the program provides multiple opportunities to communicate and collaborate with other educators throughout the two-year sequence of coursework. This hybrid program includes a six-credit in-person experience on the University of Saint Joseph campus as well as a capstone project as the culminating requirement of the master’s program. The capstone is designed to focus on integration of learning experiences throughout the program and is embedded in the final course.
Acceptance requirements
- Graduate admission application and nonrefundable admission fee
- A conferred bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
- A minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.5
- Two sealed official transcripts of all undergraduate work and an unofficial transcript of any prior graduate work
- Two letters of recommendation from individuals who can attest to the candidate’s suitability as a prospective teacher or to work with children and families, accompanied by the Graduate School’s cover form on the University website.

Continuation
Candidates must earn a C or better in all courses for continuous progress through the program. After 12 credits, candidates must maintain a GPA of 2.67 or higher throughout the program.
Exit requirements
Students must complete a capstone project in order to meet University requirements for the Master of Arts degree. The capstone project is embedded in the final course.
