PHCY 842 - Pharmacotherapy of Selected Populations: Pediatrics 2 Credits This course is an integrated study of anatomy, pathophysiology, physical assessment, pharmacology, therapeutics, clinical pharmacokinetics, patient care, alternative and complementary therapies, pharmacoeconomic issues, medication use, and review of pertinent drug literature as it relates to neonatal and pediatric patients. It is intended to sensitize the student to the special physiological, psychological, sociological, and economic aspects of the young patient. In addition, special attention is given to specific drug problems and solutions to these problems.
Required course. Prerequisite(s): Pharmacy courses are open only to Pharmacy students.
