PHCY 717 - Carbohydrate, Lipid and Amino Acid Metabolism

This course is a study of intermediary metabolism in mammalian cells. The digestion, absorption, biosynthesis and metabolism of carbohydrates, lipids and amino acids at the cellular level in both the normal and disease states will be included. An emphasis will be placed on fuel molecule metabolism and its regulation at the cellular and organismic level.
Required course.
Prerequisite(s): Pharmacy courses are open only to Pharmacy students.
