NURS 504 - Advanced Practice in Psychotherapy II

4 Credits
Building upon the content from NURS 502, in this clinical course, students explore additional theoretical content and skills development related to the utilization of cognitive, behavioral, and complementary therapies in advanced practice. Topics include concepts about cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, eye movement desensitization reprocessing, accelerated resolution therapy, family systems therapy, and complementary therapies. Professional standards of documentation, social determinants of health, and cultural considerations are also discussed. Students complete 150 clinical hours in this course. Clinical fees may be associated with this course.
Prerequisite(s): NURS 502 - Advanced Practice in Psychotherapy I  
Other: Clinical hours will be 180 until fall 2025.
