NURS 509 - Advanced Practice in Adult and Geriatric Primary Care 4 Credits In this clinical course, students are introduced to the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic conditions of the adult and geriatric populations. Topics include preventative care, health promotion, and end-of-life care of diverse adult and geriatric patient populations, as well as professional standards of documentation. Social determinants of health and cultural considerations in the advanced practice role are woven throughout this course. Students complete 150 clinical hours in this course. Clinical fees may be associated with this course. Prerequisite(s): NURS 508 - Advanced Practice in Pediatric Primary Care Other: This course will require 175 clinical hours until fall 2025.
