CRMJ 265 - Writing for Criminal Justice Professionals

3 Credits
This course examines the practical aspects of gathering, organizing, and preparing written reports and other documents applicable to the criminal justice field. The course will explore the basis for successful report writing: proper communication; mechanics or writing; official communication; proper note-taking; completing the face page and narrative; developing good writing habits; interviewing and statement taking; and successful completion of criminal justice documents.
Prerequisite(s): CRMJ 102 - Introduction to Criminal Justice  and ENGL 104 - The Art of Effective Writing I  (or ENGL 105 - The Art of Effective Writing II )
