PHRM 843 - Integrated Infectious Disease Pharmacotherapeutics 4 3 Credits This course presents the principles of pathogenicity of major disease-causing viruses, fungi, protozoa and helminths. In addition, the basic concepts of pharmacology and medicinal chemistry of drugs used as anti-infective agents, specifically antivirals, and antifungals, among others are emphasized to support proper selection of chemotherapeutic agents to treat individual infections. Common viral, fungal and parasitic infections will be discussed.
