Public Health Graduate Certificate

Public health is the art and science of protecting and enhancing the health of human populations and communities. Within the field of public health, the MPH degree is a professional degree. The MPH program will prepare students to identify health needs of communities, promote health, and reduce health disparities while achieving health equity.

Graduates with an MPH are employed by local and state health departments, federal agencies such as the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, non-profit organizations, and health care and academic organizations.

The MPH at USJ is a fully online, full-time and part-time format requiring 42 credits. Beyond the acquired knowledge in public health’s five core disciplines, students will also gain hands-on, real-world experience along with interdisciplinary public health knowledge, skills, and tools needed to take sustainable actions to create optimal population health.
